Barbados is one Caribbean island that isn’t short on wedding venues for your destination wedding. We’re going to share with you some of our favorite spots in Barbados to get married– and I couldn’t think of a more beautiful and magical place to begin– than Fustic House!
Built in the early 18th century, this stately home of coral stone exudes traditional charm. Nestled on a fully manicured 11-acre property set in the northern part of the island, Fustic House was re-designed between the late 60s and early 70s by celebrated English theatrical designer Oliver Messel for Charles Graves (brother of the poet Robert Graves). This designer’s signature style was in making indoor and outdoor spaces seamlessly flow together – creating a comfortable and elegant family home of exceptional beauty.
Fustic House makes for a perfect wedding venue; it’s entirely private and completely yours for the duration of your stay. It has sweeping views of the Barbados West Coast and boasts manicured gardens, comfortable yet fashionable Caribbean / English furnishings– and tons of space. No two weddings at Fustic House can possibly be alike since there are so many unique areas for a ceremony, cocktail hour and reception.
We love Fustic House because it has built in charm, the “wow” factor our clients are always looking for– and the most friendly and attentive staff. This villa is perfect for smaller weddings and larger sized destination weddings, as it can facilitate up to 80 guests easily.
