Lately I’ve been digging the 70’s boho vibe of macrame, in part because we have an upcoming destination wedding we’re designing that’s going to feature lots of macrame goodness! If you would have told me this staple from the 70’s would have come back in style, I probably wouldn’t have believed you (I definitely didn’t think the peacock chair would come back, either!). Barbados has a lot of options for a boho inspired wedding– and including macrame would be gorgeous! Stay tuned to our blog for more Barbados wedding inspiration, but in the meantime, here are some fun ways to incorporate macrame into your wedding:
- Fashion: I’m loving the macrame wedding dress pictured– but if you don’t want an entire gown in this style, consider a shawl or wrap for later in the evening.
- Ceiling Decor: Hanging macrame planters make for a dramatic and fun statement in the ceiling of your wedding tent, or hung above some of your dining tables. You can either use plants and greenery (hello pantone color of the year!), or you can turn them into chandeliers, providing ambient light over your tablescapes
- Table Runners: Macrame runners would look fabulous down the center of wooden farm tables, giving texture to the center of your tablescapes!
Are you digging macrame as much as I am? Barbados has a lot of options for a boho inspired wedding– and including macrame would be gorgeous! Let me know in the comments. Happy planning!
