Pantone has released its color of the year and we couldn’t be more excited! We have been crushing on the color green for sometime, and the color of 2017 is so versatile– especially for a destination wedding here in Barbados. In fact, over the past two years we’ve used this fun shade of green for nearly all the weddings we’ve planned.

As you set out to plan your destination wedding, it’s always important to embrace the natural environment of your reception and ceremony locations. Barbados is lush and abundant in tropical greens– from the never-ending sugar cane fields (as far as the eye can see!), to the gently swaying palm trees. We’ve put together some fun inspiration for your greenery inspired destination wedding!

You can also follow our Pantone Color of the Year: Greenery inspiration board on pinterest! Here are some fun tips for incorporating greenery into your destination wedding:

  • Greenery pairs with nearly every color, but for a soft and romantic look consider blush pink. For a modern, tailored look, white is the perfect complimentary color!
  • Garlands are a great way to add a touch of greenery to your wedding. Consider adding draped garlands to your reception tent or as accents to your wedding day signage
  • Potted plants and herbs are a fun accent to your floral centerpieces. Ferns, succulents and cactus are perfect plants to pot for cocktail hour centerpieces and reception tablescapes! You can also ditch flowers all together for all greenery.

Happy planning!
